Does it seem hard to imagine that in spite of your many, many, MANY sins, God still wishes you goodwill?
Many people think of God as ready and waiting for them to die so He can unleash His boundless wrath on them, but in reality, He says in Ezekiel, "As surely as I live, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but would rather they turn from their ways and LIVE."
So many of you who have read the chalk on the ground have seen my message:
"The same thing the angels said when Jesus was born is the same thing I say to you: Peace on earth and goodwill towards man."
I take this approach because God Himself takes this approach, not the judgmental approach. The angels reflect the heart of God. So when Jesus was born, God wasn't saying, "Okay, this is your last chance. Get it right otherwise I'm wiping you out."
No. Rather, He says, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I'm well pleased. Hear Him." God didn't send junk. He gave us the best He had, not in order to condemn us, but to save us. Listen to this, even if you know the Scripture already:
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him won't die, but have eternal life. God didn't send His Son into the world to condemn it, but rather to save it through Him." – John 3:16-17
God wants to engage you where you are, with the understanding that He wants good for you. He does not seek your destruction or your turmoil. He seeks reconciliation. And because of the sacrifice of Jesus, the barriers to God have been removed.
God created man with the intent of fellowshipping with him. Forever. The love shared within the Trinity is what God wants to share with man, and that includes you:
"I have made You known to them, and will continue to make You known in order that the love You have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them." – John 17:26
So today I want to present warm greetings from the Creator. He's got a lot to share with you, and it's going to blow your mind.
